Our History
TENNENDO is established in Kurume, Fukuoka. The founder begins crafting incense using natural aromatic materials, laying the foundation for a 400-year tradition.
TENNENDO is formally registered as a business. The company expands its production, becoming one of the region's leading incense makers.
Launch of "Honkoku" — a line of incense dedicated to authentic, natural ingredients with no synthetic additives.
Commissioned by Fukuoka Prefecture to develop sleep-supporting incense. Research begins on Vetiver Incense.
Vetiver Incense is successfully commercialized after two years of development.
Launch of Kyara Enku — a commemorative incense marking TENNENDO's 400th year, crafted from rare Kyara aloeswood.
TENNENDO continues its 400-year journey — blending ancient wisdom with modern life, and sharing the authentic power of Japanese incense culture with the world.
