Incense for Stillness — A Dialogue with Yourself
A Scent for Every Moment of Stillness

Breathe deeply and surrender to stillness. The scent of incense gently quiets the mind's noise and guides you inward — a companion to your practice on the mat.

Sit quietly. Feel only the breath. The drifting fragrance clears the mind of distraction, deepening consciousness — a scent crafted for the practice of Zen.

A gentle fragrance drifting into the silent world beyond the lens. Technology and tradition converge — scent deepens the journey inward in this new frontier of meditation.
400 Years in the Making —
A Challenge Worth Taking
At TENNENDO, we oversee everything — from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, and finally to bringing our incense to you. Each stick is made with devotion by skilled artisans dedicated to their craft.
To commemorate our 400th year, we have created a special incense using precious aromatic woods held in our collection for generations — a tribute to those who have carried this tradition forward.

What Makes Kyara Enku Extraordinary

Once reserved exclusively for emperors and the highest nobility, Kyara is now nearly impossible to obtain. Collected only from a single, remote region of Vietnam, its fragrance is in a category of its own — complex, sacred, and irreplaceable.

To honor the integrity of Kyara's scent, we minimize the use of binding agents to the absolute limit. The result is a delicate stick — fragile by design — that carries the full, unfiltered expression of this extraordinary wood.

Aloeswood forms when resin accumulates inside tropical evergreen trees under natural stress. Dense with resin, it sinks in water — hence "sinking wood." Prized across Asia for centuries, quality specimens are now a true treasure.

A Masterpiece That Earns the Respect of Experts
"The rich fragrance released from the finest Kyara over decades — even centuries — reaches deep into the heart and mind of all who encounter it, leaving an impression beyond words.
This is the crystallization of a venerable house's aesthetics and spirit — a fragrance I believe we may never hold again."
