A Founder's Discovery, Born from Care

When our founder Ino was caring for his mother-in-law, she became entirely dependent on sleeping pills. Concerned about the risks — reduced alertness, impaired motor function, dizziness — he asked: could scent alone bring sleep?

Supported by a Fukuoka Prefecture research grant (2018), Vetiver Incense was born after two years of development — a gentle, natural solution for the restless night.

Of all the senses, smell has the most direct pathway to the brain. When a fragrance is detected, information travels instantly to the limbic system — governing emotion and instinct — and the hypothalamus, which regulates the autonomic nervous system and hormone balance.

How to Burn Vetiver Incense

One stick is recommended for a room of approximately 10 m². Adjust the number of sticks to suit the size of your room and your preferred intensity. A subtle, barely-there fragrance is ideal.
Begin burning approximately 30 minutes before you go to sleep.
Place the included non-combustible mat on your incense holder, then lay the stick gently on top and light. The stick burns horizontally, allowing the scent to diffuse evenly.
If you are concerned about sleeping with an open flame, we recommend an electronic incense burner — a flameless option that gently heats the incense to release its fragrance safely while you sleep.
